Activities

Our Purpose is to have somewhere we can all run our trains. To achieve this we have developed and built our own sections of track that combine to create one overall layout.

We meet every two weeks as well as occasional weekends where we dedicate the time to running trains. Our layout uses a 'modular' system involving plugging various members sections together to create one giant continuous running layout.

We help and encourage one another to build additional models to the N-Mod standard as detailed here on the site.

Trains

Obviously enjoying the hobby of model trains involves owning some, but you don't need any of a particular type here at the Berkshire Area Group. Something we pride ourselves on is the wide range of interest our members posses.

We share interest in British Steam & Modern, Continental European stock, American and even Japanese. Of course, they all claim their interest is the best.

Just one thing - don't bring big 'un's' because we're N-Gauge!
 

Club Nights

Club Nights are held on the SECOND and FORTH Wednesday of every calendar month, as well as some Saturday Afternoons.

Times
7.30pm until 10.00pm on Wednesdays
13.00pm until 6.00pm on Saturdays
